At Sugar Shack Bake Shoppe, I believe in being open and transparent about how I run my small business — including the tools I use behind the scenes.

You may notice that the photos throughout my website and social media have a polished, cohesive look. While I wish I could say that beautiful food photography was one of my talents, it definitely isn't! 😊 I primarily use AI as a photo-editing tool to help adjust lighting, improve backgrounds, and create a more consistent setting for my product photos.

The baked goods you see are mine. I bake and decorate them myself, photograph my work, and then may use AI to improve the presentation of those photos. It allows me to showcase my products in a beautiful, professional way without needing an elaborate photography setup, endless props, or expensive editing software.

I also use AI as a little behind-the-scenes writing and creative assistant. It helps me polish product descriptions so the tone throughout my website remains consistent, and it assists with designing and writing some of my social media content. The ideas, information, products, recipes, and personality behind Sugar Shack are still very much my own — AI simply helps me bring everything together more efficiently.

Why I Choose to Use It

Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats — baker, decorator, photographer, writer, marketer, website designer and everything in between.

Using AI for some of these tasks saves me a tremendous amount of time and reduces what I need to spend on photography props, editing programs, design tools, and other services.

And keeping those costs down matters to me.

The less I have to spend behind the scenes, the more flexibility I have to offer sales, special promotions, and reasonable pricing — something I know is especially important while so many families are watching their budgets.

At the end of the day, AI may help me make things look a little prettier online, but the baking is real, the decorating is real, and the hands making your treats are mine. 🤍
